A 'supergroup' comprised of performers from iconic bands from Scotland's pop world and international singers take audiences into the heart of Scotland's rich cultural heritage. This immersive experience blends original songs based on the historical 'broadsides' posted in public spaces in 17th-19th century Scotland (the social media of its day) with video, uniting the pop culture of the past with the present. Broadside Ballads is performed by Alston/Kirk Overdrive and the Internationale: Andy Alston (Del Amitri), James Kirk (formerly of Orange Juice), Jim MacDermott (formerly of Simple Minds) and Brian Docherty, plus singer Marilyn Carino (Mudville).
